About Us

The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County (DVRCSC) envisions a world in which all individuals are free from violence, grow to their full potential and have relationships based on trust, equality and mutual respect.  In order to create a future free from violence, we offer safety, support, advocacy, proactive community education and a network of services to women, men and children who are victims of domestic violence.

We are the only agency in Washington County that has a safe home for victims of domestic violence, and offers comprehensive prevention, education and direct services to all persons affected by domestic violence.

The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County understands domestic violence as a social issue, which is perpetrated both on an individual and societal basis.  Our philosophy is:

  •   All people have a basic right to safety and personal dignity

  •   Society has a responsibility to protect these rights

  •   Each individual shares that responsibility to preserve these rights

The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County is one of the six member agencies of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence.  For more information about us, or our programs and services, please call 401.782.3990.
