  Volunteer

We need volunteers to answer our Helpline and help victims and their families who come to our Drop-In Center in Wakefield.  Volunteers provide support, information, resources, referrals, safety plans, free cell phones and advocacy for abuse victims.  Last

year we answered over 2,000 calls and helped

over 150 drop-in clients.  We offer training and observation for new volunteers who commit

to 4 hours a week.

See new training schedule below.  Or call 782-3995 and ask for Leslie.

How You Can Help!

Making a financial contribution to the DVRCSC is one of the very best ways to help so many people.  Here's what your gift can do:

  •  A $25 gift provides support group time for a woman or man
  •  A $50 gift provides a client with one hour of one-on-one counseling
  • A $100 gift provides a victim involved in District or Family Court with two hours of assistance from our legal advocates
  • A $250 gift allows us to present one school based educational workshop in community high schools
  • A $500 gift provides emergency housing, food and support services to a family of four for one week
  • A $1,000 gift provides a 3-session violence prevention program to local high schools students.

These are just some of the services we provide to women, men and children who are affected by domestic violence.

Our annual campaign runs from July 1 to June 30th, and provides the foundation for our vital services.  These funds are also used to develop new programs to meet the changing needs of the women, men and children we serve.
